Uniform lock

General information, DU panel, special functions

The DU main panel of the uniform lock with a folding key (2 pieces)

All models considered in the present manual are standardly equipped with the uniform lock with remote control.

Upon purchase of the car two main remote controls (DU) equipped with folding keys and one spare panel with a sliding key are presented to the owner. The key which is a part of the DU panel approaches all locks used on the car.

The remote control (DU) allows to make activation of locks / the alarm system with distance to 10 meters (depending on area conditions).

When losing the DU panel it is necessary to make code conversion of the uniform lock in the conditions of Mercedes-Benz car repair shop, - in the same place it is possible to order the spare panel.

Refusals of operation of the DU panel can be caused by the following reasons:

   a) The key is in the ignition lock;
   b) Panel battery charge level fell;
   c) The distance between the panel and the car exceeds 10 meters;
   d) Synchronization of system of the uniform lock is broken.

In the handling of DU panels observe the following precautionary measures:

   a) Do not allow hit on the moisture DU panel!
   b) Do not drop and do not shake the DU panel!
   c) Do not allow long impact on the DU panel of direct sunlight and heating of its over 60 °C!


Also the possibility of management of functioning of activators of locks by means of the keyboard switch which is built in forward section of the central console is provided (see the car Equipment, an arrangement of devices and governing bodies).

Automatic simultaneous locking of all doors of the car happens at achievement by the speed of the movement of the car of some certain value, - unlocking of any of car doors will lead to unlocking of others from within.

If unlocking of doors after operation of locks during the movement is made from the switch of the uniform lock on the central console, locks will remain open and after repeated start-off of the car.

Automatic locking of doors happens at rotation of the left forward wheel when the key in the lock of ignition is turned in situation 2 that should be considered not to remain outside when pushing of the got stuck car!


Switching off of function of automatic locking of doors during the movement can be made by approximately 5-second keeping of the pressed lower part of a key of the console switch of the uniform lock (see the car Equipment, an arrangement of devices and governing bodies) at the ignition key turned in situation 2.

Creators of the uniform lock provided function of automatic unlocking of door locks at emergency collision with excess of the set level of overloads.

Instructions for use panel DU/keys

Management of functioning of activators of locks

The DU panel allows to make simultaneous unlocking / locking of locks of all doors, covers of the luggage compartment and a cover of the hatch.

The design of the DU panel allows to make inclusion/switching off of function of opening of a driver's door. For function activation at the same time press the buttons and and hold them pressed within about 5 seconds, - the control light-emitting diode has to blink twice in confirmation of function inclusion. Deactivation of function is made in a similar manner.

At the switched-off function of unlocking of a driver's door the single nazhimaniye on the button leads to the operation on unlocking of activators of locks of all doors, covers of the luggage compartment and a cover of the hatch of a jellied mouth of the fuel tank which is followed by a single blinking of indexes of turns.

Locking of locks is made by single pressing the button and is followed by triple operation of indexes of turns.

If after locking from the DU panel any of doors of the car it is open from within, other locks will remain locked.


At the included function of unlocking driver's single pressing the button leads to unlocking of a driver's door and cover of the hatch of a jellied mouth of the fuel tank. Double pressing of the button makes unlocking of all doors, covers of the luggage compartment and a cover of the hatch of a jellied mouth of the fuel tank with a simultaneous single blinking of indexes of turn.

If after unlocking of locks any of doors of the car is not open, then approximately in 40 seconds there will be their automatic locking.

By means of the button unlocking in an individual order of a cover of the luggage compartment can be made, - the control light-emitting diode which is built in the switch of a remote otpuskaniye of a latch of the lock of a cover has to light up (see the car Equipment, an arrangement of devices and governing bodies).

After a latch otpuskaniye the cover of the luggage compartment leans back up in view of what it is necessary to track that there was the corresponding free space!

Zaryvaniye of door glasses and cover of the top hatch

Control of the drive of glasses and a cover of the hatch perhaps only from the DU main panels.


The design of the DU panel allows to make closing left opened door glasses and a cover of the top hatch.

Direct the panel a radiator to the handle of one of forward doors of the car and press the panel button. After keeping of the button pressed within about 2 seconds the drive lowered glasses/cover of the open hatch is activated.

Range of operation of the panel in this mode for reasons of safety is much less than standard 10 m.

In case of danger of jamming by glass or a cover of the hatch of hands of the passengers who remained in the car immediately release the panel button, in case of need for lowering of glass/opening of the hatch press the button, - process of opening will begin only if the corresponding element was not completely open.

Control of level of a charge of batteries

Control of a condition of batteries is made by pressing any of buttons and the DU panel and keeping its pressed within more than 1 second, - short-term activation of the light-emitting diode which is built in the panel confirms serviceability of a condition of batteries. If the light-emitting diode does not light up, it is necessary to make replacement of batteries of the panel immediately.

Replacement of batteries of the DU panel

Replaceable batteries for DU panels can always be got at Mercedes-Benz car repair shops.

Main panel

For replacement of batteries of the DU main panel open the key which is built in it, then wring out an access cover on the back panel up.

Establish replaceable batteries by a positive pole up, then strongly latch a cover and remove a key.

Spare panel

Wring out an access cover from the back party of the panel aside. Take the served batteries and establish replaceable on their place.

Synchronization of the uniform lock

At refusal of operation of activators of locks from the DU panel it is necessary to make synchronization of system. Direct the panel to the car and twice quickly press any of buttons and. Within the next 30 seconds insert a key into the lock of ignition and turn it in situation 2.
