Replacement of motive oil and oil filter

The long contact of skin with the fulfilled motive oil is quite dangerous. Use protective cream and put on gloves during this procedure. Replace the clothes which became impregnated with oil immediately. |

Regular and frequent replacement of motive oil is the main preventive procedure of service, to the available amateur mechanic. Eventually oil is subject to fluidifying and pollution that leads to premature wear of the engine. |
Motive oil can be extorted by means of the special probe (is available at gas stations) through a tube of the probe of measurement of level of oil. After that it is necessary to fill system with oil, as a rule.
Do not pour out the fulfilled oil together with household waste or otherwise. It can cause environmental pollution.
Expediently when replacing oil to fix on the engine a label with brand of oil and its viscosity.
Use of oils of various types adversely affects operation of the engine. It is not recommended to mix various brands of oils also. Motive oils of the same type and brand, but various viscosity in necessary cases, in particular in off-season, can mix up.

Removal of motive oil

Motive oil can be also removed with an exhaustion method, by means of the probe, through a probe opening. |
Warm up the engine up to the working temperature (temperature of oil of +60 °C).
Lift the car horizontally.
Substitute under the case pallet capacity for collecting the fulfilled oil.

Turn out a drain stopper (1) from the pallet of a case (2) and completely merge oil. |

If in the fulfilled oil there are at a large number a metal shaving and products of wear, it indicates existence of zadir, for example, in bearings of a bent shaft and conrod bearings. For an exception of damages after the made repairs it is necessary to clear oil channels and hoses carefully. It is in addition necessary if is available, to replace the oil heater. |
Then it is necessary to screw a drain stopper with a new sealing ring. It is not necessary to exceed the inhaling moments specified in Specifications, otherwise it can lead to violation of tightness and damages.
Lower the car on wheels.
Replacement of an oil filter
Clear a flange of an oil filter fuel. Remove the possible remains of laying from a flange.
Grease new laying of an oil filter with a thin layer of motive oil.
Strong tighten a new oil filter only by effort by hand. After laying will lie down to a flange, tighten the filter on a turn floor. Pay attention to the remarks given on the filter case.
Tighten a stopper of a drain opening with a new ring the ukazyanny moment in Specifications.

At the first start of a turbodiesel after replacement of oil it is necessary to watch that the engine at first worked on single turns, the control lamp of pressure of oil will not go out yet. Only after achievement of necessary pressure of oil it is possible to increase gas. If gas is given at the burning control lamp, owing to insufficient amount of oil the turbocompressor can be damaged. |
Gas station of oil is made through the special, equipped with a cover jellied mouth in a cover of a head of cylinders (see the Section Check of Levels of Liquids, control of leaks).
When replacing oil apply new oil of the same type and, whenever possible, the same brand. For the purpose of minimization of spraying use a funnel. At each replacement of oil attach the plate on which specify brand and viscosity of the filled-in oil to the engine.

It is recommended to fill in oil 0.5 l smaller at first. Warm up the engine and in a few minutes, by means of the index, check oil level, if necessary add. Remove surplus of oil, otherwise consolidations of the engine and the catalytic converter can be damaged. |
Add oil to MAX tag on an edge of the measuring probe (see the Section Check of Levels of Liquids, control of leaks). If the level of oil is higher, oil it is necessary to pump out surplus.
After a trial trip check tightness of landing of a drain stopper and an oil filter, if necessary carefully add oil.
3 minutes later after an engine stop check oil level again, if necessary add or remove oil.
