Search of malfunctions - the general information

At failure detection of automatic transmission first of all check the ATF level (see the Head Routine maintenance). If level insufficient, check a condition of the corresponding epiploons. Attentively examine all hoses concerning transmission liquid and also a cooler and to be convinced of lack of traces of leaks. The only thing that you still can independently make, it to check and, if necessary, to replace the sensors concerning functioning of transmission. Before replacing any sensor, carry out reading of codes of malfunctions from memory of the control unit.

At rather serious breakage the control system of a box will pass into the mode of safe functioning, bringing at the same time the corresponding code (or codes) in memory of the control unit. Codes can be considered by means of the special equipment (see the Head Elektrooborudovaniye of the engine).

In the absence of that, define the malfunction nature (electric or mechanical).

Do not try to remove a box as diagnostics is carried out only on the box installed on the engine.
